Groupon was launched in 2008 as a deal-of-the-day website that serves over 150 markets in North America and more than 100 markets in Europe.  Eric Lefkofsky became the CEO of Groupon in August of 2013, a year which saw revenue of $2.573 billion.

Established by Liz and Eric Lefkofsky in 2006, the Lefkofsky Family Foundation’s focus is to enhance human life in communities by way of quality education, medical research, expansion of cultural initiatives, and improvement of human rights.


Eric Lefkofsky is the founder and Special Advisor to Lightbank, a Chicago based seed investment and consulting company that focuses on companies across the United States in new technology markets (“disruptive” technology).  Investments include Groupon, InnerWorkings, as well as Belly, Qwiki, and many more.


Based in Chicago and employing more than 1,000 employees across the globe, InnerWorkings sources print production and promotional products for companies across their network of print suppliers. InnerWorkings works with companies of all shapes and sizes, from small businesses to Fortune 1000 companies.  Mr Lefkofsky is a co-founder and director of InnerWorkings.


Echo Global Logistics provides business process outsourcing enabled by way of technology.  Echo’s services range from cost effective shipping solutions from EchoTrak™, to customized reports and carrier metrics from our EMT™ technology.  Eric Lefkofsky is a co-founder of Echo Global Logistics.

Media Ocean

New York City based Mediaocean provides clients such as television networks (including ABC and Telemundo) to advertising agencies (working with companies such as Honda, Coco-Cola, and BMW) software and computing services for the advertising industry.  Eric Lefkofsky serves on the Board of Directors to Mediaocean.
